SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, as follows:

AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

ARTICLE 1

Section 5. The sum of $279,169,200, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the McCormick Place Expansion Project Fund to the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority for debt service on the Authority's McCormick Place Expansion Project Bonds, issued pursuant to the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act, as amended, and related trustee and legal expenses.

Section 10. The sum of $15,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority from the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Incentive Fund for the authority's corporate purposes, including but not limited to incentive grant funds.

Section 15. The sum of $18,032,800, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority from the Chicago Travel Industry Promotion Fund for a grant to Choose Chicago.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2026.
