HOUSE RESOLUTION

2    WHEREAS, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has repeatedly promoted
3false, disproven claims linking childhood vaccines and common
4medications to autism; and

5    WHEREAS, These reckless statements directly contradict
6decades of peer-reviewed research and scientific consensus
7showing no connection between vaccines or Tylenol and autism
8or autism spectrum disorder; and

9    WHEREAS, Secretary Kennedy's rhetoric undermines public
10trust in science, dismisses the expertise of the Centers for
11Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National

13fueled a resurgence of preventable diseases like measles; and

14    WHEREAS, Secretary Kennedy has advised pregnant women and
15parents to withhold safe medications such as Tylenol,
16endangering maternal and fetal health by increasing the risk
17of miscarriage, preterm birth, and complications from
18untreated fever; and

19    WHEREAS, Secretary Kennedy's public comments describing
20children with autism as those who "will never pay taxes, never

3experiences of millions of neurodiverse individuals and their

5    WHEREAS, Autism is not a disease to be cured but a complex
6neurodevelopmental condition influenced by genetics and
7environmental factors, not vaccines or medications, as
8confirmed by decades of scientific research; and

9    WHEREAS, Secretary Kennedy's embrace of divisive and
10anti-scientific rhetoric mirrors the dangerous misinformation
11that flourished under the Trump Administration during the
12COVID-19 pandemic, misinformation that politicized science,
13eroded public trust, and contributed to more than 39,000
14deaths in Illinois alone; and

15    WHEREAS, Both President Trump and Secretary Kennedy's
16deliberate weaponization of public health for political gain
17replaces fact with fear, exploits vulnerable families, and
