| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Eldon Duane Wahlfeld of Manito, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on August 8, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld was born to Henry and Blanche | ||||||
| 6 | (Conklin) Wahlfeld in Bishop on February 23, 1936; he served | ||||||
| 7 | in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1960; he married | ||||||
| 8 | Newell Ann Fleming at St. John Lutheran Church in Topeka on | ||||||
| 9 | March 17, 1963; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld, after his military service, | ||||||
| 11 | worked as an electrician at the Archer-Daniels-Midland Company | ||||||
| 12 | (ADM) until his retirement in 1993; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld was a member of the VFW in Pekin | ||||||
| 14 | and the antique tractor club in Manito; he also enjoyed | ||||||
| 15 | woodworking; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 17 | parents and his brother, Howard Wahlfeld; and | ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld is survived by his wife of 62 | ||||||
| 19 | years, Newell Ann Wahlfeld; his sons, Dale (Jody) Wahlfeld and | ||||||
| 20 | Gary Wahlfeld; his grandson, James (Gabby) Wahlfeld; and his | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | sister, Eloise Rose; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 4 | Eldon Duane Wahlfeld and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 6 | further | ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 8 | presented to the family of Eldon Wahlfeld as an expression of | ||||||
| 9 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
