| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Carrollton High | ||||||
| 4 | School softball team, the Lady Hawks, on winning the 2024-2025 | ||||||
| 5 | Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A State | ||||||
| 6 | Championship; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Carrollton High School softball team ended | ||||||
| 8 | its 2024-2025 season with a stellar 38-1 record, a new school | ||||||
| 9 | record for most wins; the team started the season with a | ||||||
| 10 | 30-game winning streak and garnered 68 home runs, a new single | ||||||
| 11 | season record for the school and IHSA; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, The Carrollton High School softball team won the | ||||||
| 13 | Lincolnwood Regional Championship, the Calhoun Sectional | ||||||
| 14 | Championship, the Athens Super-Sectional Championship, and the | ||||||
| 15 | IHSA Class 1A State Championship for the first time in school | ||||||
| 16 | history; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, The Carrollton High School softball team is led | ||||||
| 18 | by Head Coach Travis Klingler and Assistant Coaches Amelia | ||||||
| 19 | Uhles and Dana Grafford; and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, The Carrollton High School softball team is | ||||||
| 21 | comprised of freshman Blake Driskill, sophomores Lilly Bauer, | ||||||

| 1 | Brookelyn Eilerman, Hayden McMurtrie, and Courtney Waldheuser, | ||||||
| 2 | and seniors Megan Camden, Abby Flowers, Lauren Flowers, Vanna | ||||||
| 3 | Holmes, Hannah Uhles, and Daci Walls; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, The Carrollton High School softball team achieved | ||||||
| 5 | a nearly perfect, historically dominant season, concluding | ||||||
| 6 | with it earning a championship trophy; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 8 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we congratulate the Carrollton High School softball team, the | ||||||
| 10 | Lady Hawks, on winning the 2024-2025 Illinois High School | ||||||
| 11 | Association (IHSA) Class 1A State Championship, and we | ||||||
| 12 | acknowledge all the contributions made by the coaches, | ||||||
| 13 | players, families, and community for making a positive impact | ||||||
| 14 | towards the team achieving a successful season; and be it | ||||||
| 15 | further | ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to Head Coach Travis Klingler, Assistant Coaches | ||||||
| 18 | Amelia Uhles and Dana Grafford, and the members of the | ||||||
| 19 | Carrollton High School softball team as an expression of our | ||||||
| 20 | respect and esteem. | ||||||
