| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Joyce Irene Williams of Springfield, |
| 4 | | formerly of Kilbourne, who passed away on June 20, 2025; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Williams was born in Springfield to |
| 6 | | Marshall and Lola Clark on March 5, 1943; she married Dean |
| 7 | | Williams on March 1, 1997; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Williams' children and grandchildren were |
| 9 | | her pride and joy, and nothing meant more to her; she loved |
| 10 | | keeping family traditions and was proud of the family she |
| 11 | | built; she also loved to travel and make memories together, |
| 12 | | and one of her favorite trips was in 2004 when she took the |
| 13 | | whole family on a Disney cruise for Christmas; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Williams was a member of Kilbourne Baptist |
| 15 | | Church; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Williams was preceded in death by her |
| 17 | | parents; her sisters, Eleanor (Bud) Mead and Marilyn (Bill) |
| 18 | | McCracken; and her stepson, Rick Williams; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Williams is survived by her husband, Dean; |
| 20 | | her children, Craig (Cindy) Schaeffer, Suzanne (Kevin) King, |

| 1 | | and LeaAnn (Rod) Johnson; her stepsons, Duane and Dana |
| 2 | | Williams; her grandchildren, Kelsea Schaeffer, Brandy (Keith) |

| 4 | | Johnson, and Ben Johnson; her step-grandchildren, Ricky, Dana, |
| 5 | | Presley, and Luke Williams; her great-grandchildren, Peter |
| 6 | | Lane and Dakota, Reagan, Cameron, and Andersen Thorman; and |
| 7 | | two step-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it |
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 10 | | Joyce Irene Williams and extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 12 | | further |
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 14 | | presented to the family of Joyce Williams as an expression of |
| 15 | | our deepest sympathy. |
