| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Carole Jean Kirwan of Ivesdale, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 7, 2025; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan, the daughter of Clarence and |
| 6 | | Beulah Webb Blacker, was born in Monticello on September 15, |
| 7 | | 1937; she married Hiram Thomas Kirwan in Monticello on |
| 8 | | September 25, 1954; and |
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic |
| 10 | | Church in Ivesdale, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Women's |
| 11 | | Club, and the Farm Bureau; she also served as an election judge |
| 12 | | for Champaign County; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan cherished spending time with her |
| 14 | | family and took great joy in being a devoted grandmother and |
| 15 | | great-grandmother; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was preceded in death by her |
| 17 | | parents; her son, Thomas E. Kirwan Jr.; her brother, Gerald |
| 18 | | Blacker; and her sisters, Marilyn Morrow, Norma K. Davis, and |
| 19 | | Connie Webber; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan is survived by her husband of 70 |

| 1 | | years, Hiram; her daughters, Cynthia Lawson and Pamela Bailey; |

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 6 | | Carole Jean Kirwan and extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 7 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 8 | | further |
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 10 | | presented to the family of Carole Kirwan as an expression of |
| 11 | | our deepest sympathy. |
