| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Carole Jean Kirwan of Ivesdale, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 7, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan, the daughter of Clarence and | ||||||
| 6 | Beulah Webb Blacker, was born in Monticello on September 15, | ||||||
| 7 | 1937; she married Hiram Thomas Kirwan in Monticello on | ||||||
| 8 | September 25, 1954; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic | ||||||
| 10 | Church in Ivesdale, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Women's | ||||||
| 11 | Club, and the Farm Bureau; she also served as an election judge | ||||||
| 12 | for Champaign County; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan cherished spending time with her | ||||||
| 14 | family and took great joy in being a devoted grandmother and | ||||||
| 15 | great-grandmother; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 17 | parents; her son, Thomas E. Kirwan Jr.; her brother, Gerald | ||||||
| 18 | Blacker; and her sisters, Marilyn Morrow, Norma K. Davis, and | ||||||
| 19 | Connie Webber; and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan is survived by her husband of 70 | ||||||

| 1 | years, Hiram; her daughters, Cynthia Lawson and Pamela Bailey; | ||||||
| 2 | four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; therefore, be | ||||||
| 3 | it | ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 6 | Carole Jean Kirwan and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
| 7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further | ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Carole Kirwan as an expression of | ||||||
| 11 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
