| 1 | | SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

| 2 | | WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Report |
| 3 | | on Waivers of School Code Mandates, dated February 28, 2025, |
| 4 | | with the Senate and the House of Representatives as required |
| 5 | | by Section 2-3.25g of the School Code; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, As per 105 ILCS 5/2-3.25g paragraph (d), the |
| 7 | | waivers were presented to the General Assembly panel |
| 8 | | consisting of the President of the Senate, the Minority Leader |
| 9 | | of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the |
| 10 | | Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, and responses |
| 11 | | of approval or denial for the waivers were returned to the |
| 12 | | State Board of Education on or before March 6, 2025; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, On March 13, 2025, the State Board of Education |
| 14 | | submitted the Limitation of Administrative Costs waiver |
| 15 | | request from Cairo Unit School District 1 (W-100-7446) to the |
| 16 | | General Assembly for further consideration; therefore, be it
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF |
| 19 | | REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the request made by |
| 20 | | Cairo Unit School District 1 with respect to Limitation of |
| 21 | | Administrative Costs, identified in the report filed by the |
| 22 | | State Board of Education as request W100-7446, is denied. |
