| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Richard Enderle of Oak Park and River | ||||||
| 4 | Forest, who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 94; | ||||||
| 5 | and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was born to John P. and Edith | ||||||
| 7 | Fischer Enderle in Chicago in 1930, and he grew up with his | ||||||
| 8 | siblings, Bill (Sue), Marge (Bob Johnston), and Geri (Hal | ||||||
| 9 | Stromsen); and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle graduated from Fenwick High | ||||||
| 11 | School in 1949, and he continued his education at St. Ambrose | ||||||
| 12 | College in Davenport, Iowa before serving in the U.S. Army | ||||||
| 13 | during the Korean War; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle's service was highlighted by his | ||||||
| 15 | selection as a member of the United Nations Honor Guard in | ||||||
| 16 | Seoul, where he represented the United States for over a year; | ||||||
| 17 | and | ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle completed his college education | ||||||
| 19 | following his discharge, earning a degree from DePaul | ||||||
| 20 | University; and | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was a consummate salesman and | ||||||
| 2 | spent most of his successful career in the computer business; | ||||||
| 3 | and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan | ||||||
| 5 | and former season ticket holder, and he cheered for Notre Dame | ||||||
| 6 | in all of its endeavors; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle loved sailing in Lake Geneva with | ||||||
| 8 | his family, where they created many great memories together, | ||||||
| 9 | golfing with his friends, and working out and socializing at | ||||||
| 10 | the Loyola Health Club; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 12 | parents and siblings; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Richard Enderle was | ||||||
| 14 | survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Gladys Turner Enderle; | ||||||
| 15 | his children, Elizabeth (Jim Reid), Richard (Beth), John | ||||||
| 16 | (Amy), and David (Melinda); his grandchildren, Ryan Reid, Eric | ||||||
| 17 | (Elisabeth) Reid, Sean (Abby) Reid, Jillian Reid, Taylor | ||||||
| 18 | Enderle, Patrick Enderle, Grace Enderle, and Turner Enderle; | ||||||
| 19 | and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 21 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||

| 1 | Richard Enderle and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 2 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 3 | further | ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 5 | presented to the family of Richard Enderle as an expression of | ||||||
| 6 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
