| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians | ||||||
| 3 | are trained in food and nutrition and are an integral part of | ||||||
| 4 | healthcare and foodservice management teams; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians | ||||||
| 6 | have earned an associate's or bachelor's degree, undergone | ||||||
| 7 | specific curriculum requirements, and passed an examination; | ||||||
| 8 | and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians | ||||||
| 10 | use their nutrition knowledge to help individuals make | ||||||
| 11 | positive lifestyle changes and support their nutrition team; | ||||||
| 12 | and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians | ||||||
| 14 | work throughout the community in a number of areas, including | ||||||
| 15 | hospitals, public health clinics, and nursing homes; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians | ||||||
| 17 | are advocates for advancing the nutritional status of | ||||||
| 18 | Americans and people around the world; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 20 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||

| 1 | we declare March 13, 2025 as Registered Nutrition and | ||||||
| 2 | Dietetics Technician Day in the State of Illinois; and be it | ||||||
| 3 | further | ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, That we encourage all citizens to recognize the | ||||||
| 5 | contributions of registered nutrition and dietetics | ||||||
| 6 | technicians, and we express our appreciation for their | ||||||
| 7 | commitment to promoting science-based nutrition in the hope of | ||||||
| 8 | achieving optimum health for both today and tomorrow. | ||||||
