| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of |
| 4 | | Christine Lunningham, who passed away on December 12, 2024; |
| 5 | | and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Christine Lunningham, the daughter of Cremer and |
| 7 | | Ludie Lunningham, was born in Lockport on July 28, 1948; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Christine Lunningham later relocated to Joliet, |
| 9 | | where for over 40 years she worked in the retail industry with |
| 10 | | the department stores Ames and Menards; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Christine Lunningham worked as a longtime |
| 12 | | precinct committeeperson for the Democratic National Committee |
| 13 | | (DNC); she was involved in campaigns, both locally and |
| 14 | | nationally, attending many DNC events and volunteering for |
| 15 | | various functions; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Christine Lunningham was a beloved mother, |
| 17 | | sister, aunt, and friend; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Christine Lunningham was preceded in death by her |
| 19 | | parents; her sisters, Anne Parker, Dorothy Lunningham, and |
| 20 | | Signola Drane; and her brothers, Linwood Lunningham and Thomas |

| 1 | | Christopher Lunningham; and |
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Christine Lunningham is survived by her daughter, |
| 3 | | Cynthia Lunningham; her sister, Ludie Jean (Bennie) Williams; |
| 4 | | her brother, James Lunningham; and numerous nieces, nephews, |
| 5 | | and cousins; therefore, be it |
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 7 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 8 | | we mourn the passing of Christine Lunningham and extend our |
| 9 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew |
| 10 | | and loved her; and be it further |
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 12 | | presented to the family of Christine Lunningham as an |
| 13 | | expression of our deepest sympathy. |
