|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Gary Thomas Marschke, Supervisor of |
| 4 | | DuPage Township, who passed away on March 9, 2025; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gary Marschke was born on January 22, 1946; he |
| 6 | | served in the U.S. Navy; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Gary Marschke, a resident of DuPage Township |
| 8 | | since 1987, was elected as Supervisor of DuPage Township in |
| 9 | | April 2021; he served his community with unwavering integrity |
| 10 | | and compassion, particularly dedicating himself to the seniors |
| 11 | | at the Levy Center and envisioning a new food pantry to support |
| 12 | | those in need; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Gary Marschke also served the DuPage Township |
| 14 | | Democratic Organization, where he worked tirelessly to ensure |
| 15 | | the organization remained committed to providing service for |
| 16 | | all; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Gary Marschke's legacy will live on through his |
| 18 | | steadfast dedication to service; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Gary Marschke was the husband of Lori (Dunn) |
| 20 | | Marschke for 54 years, the father of Christine (Tom) Boras, |
|

| 1 | | the grandfather of five, the brother-in-law of Larry (Meagan) |
| 2 | | Dunn and Linda (Mike) Blanchard, and the brother and uncle of |
| 3 | | many; therefore, be it
|
| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 6 | | Gary Thomas Marschke, Supervisor of DuPage Township, and |
| 7 | | extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all |
| 8 | | who knew and loved him; and be it further
|
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 10 | | presented to the family of Gary Marschke as an expression of |
| 11 | | our deepest sympathy. |
