| 1 | | AN ACT concerning revenue.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 22-65 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (35 ILCS 200/22-65) |
| 7 | | Sec. 22-65. Form of deed. A tax deed executed by the county |
| 8 | | clerk under the official seal of the county shall be recorded |
| 9 | | in the same manner as other conveyances of property, and vests |
| 10 | | in the grantee, his or her heirs and assigns, the title of the |
| 11 | | property therein described without further acknowledgment or |
| 12 | | evidence of the conveyance. Tax deeds that are issued under |
| 13 | | this Section to a county, as trustee pursuant to Section |
| 14 | | 21-90, shall be recorded by the county and shall not require a |
| 15 | | municipal transfer stamp or be subject to any municipal real |
| 16 | | estate transfer taxes, requirements, or certifications prior |
| 17 | | to recording. The conveyance shall be substantially in the |
| 18 | | following form: |
