| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Illinois | ||||||
| 4 | State Police Trooper Clay Carns, who passed away on December | ||||||
| 5 | 23, 2024; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Trooper Carns was part of Illinois State Police | ||||||
| 7 | Cadet Class 123 and joined the ISP on November 10, 2013; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Trooper Carns was assigned badge number 6512 and | ||||||
| 9 | served for 11 years; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Trooper Carns is survived by his wife, Meghan; | ||||||
| 11 | his children, Gray and Ally; his parents, Patti and Danny | ||||||
| 12 | Carns; and his siblings, Chad Carns, Erica (Carns) Raciak, and | ||||||
| 13 | Elyssa Carns; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 15 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 16 | we mourn the passing of Illinois State Police Trooper Clay | ||||||
| 17 | Carns and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
| 18 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further | ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 20 | presented to the family of Trooper Carns as an expression of | ||||||
