| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mary | ||||||
| 4 | Colleen Kilbride of Pontiac, who passed away on January 20, | ||||||
| 5 | 2025; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Colleen Kilbride, the daughter of Emmett and | ||||||
| 7 | Eileen (Dunn) Coughlin, was born in Streator on May 28, 1928; | ||||||
| 8 | she married Leo Kilbride in Kinsman on June 17, 1950; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Colleen Kilbride was the manager of the Kankakee | ||||||
| 10 | County Mutual Fire Insurance Company, and she worked at | ||||||
| 11 | Kankakee Community College and the Kankakee Clinic of the VA | ||||||
| 12 | Hospital in Dwight; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Colleen Kilbride was a parishioner at St. Joseph | ||||||
| 14 | Catholic Church in Bradley and St. John Paul II in Kankakee, | ||||||
| 15 | and she was president of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. | ||||||
| 16 | Teresa's Catholic Church in Kankakee; she was a member of the | ||||||
| 17 | Tuesday Book Review, the St. Joseph Council of Catholic Women, | ||||||
| 18 | and the Provena St. Mary's Auxiliary, where she served as | ||||||
| 19 | secretary, and she was a volunteer at Provena St. Mary's | ||||||
| 20 | Hospital; she was an associate with the Servants of the Holy | ||||||
| 21 | Heart of Mary for 20 years; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Colleen Kilbride enjoyed playing bridge and | ||||||
| 2 | dancing; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Colleen Kilbride's greatest joy came from | ||||||
| 4 | practicing her faith and spending time with her family; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Colleen Kilbride was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 6 | husband, Leo; her parents; her sisters, Rita Slattery, Joann | ||||||
| 7 | Turner, and Joyce Louis; and her brothers-in-law, Robert | ||||||
| 8 | Slattery, Thomas Slattery, and Elwood Pfeifer; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Colleen Kilbride is survived by her children, | ||||||
| 10 | Judith (Gary) Donze, former Illinois Supreme Court Justice | ||||||
| 11 | Thomas (Mary Jane) Kilbride, Joseph (Joanie) Kilbride, and | ||||||
| 12 | Mary Pat (Jim) Scoltock; her siblings, Dolores Slattery, Betty | ||||||
| 13 | Pfeifer, and William (Carole) Coughlin; her brothers-in-law, | ||||||
| 14 | Joe Louis and Ken Turner; 13 grandchildren; eight | ||||||
| 15 | great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many | ||||||
| 16 | nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, | ||||||
| 17 | be it | ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 19 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 20 | we mourn the passing of Mary Colleen Kilbride and extend our | ||||||
| 21 | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
| 22 | and loved her; and be it further | ||||||

| 1 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 2 | presented to the family of Colleen Kilbride as an expression | ||||||
