AN ACT to amend the Shawneetown Regional Port District
Act by adding Section 7.1.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Shawneetown Regional Port District Act is
amended by adding Section 7.1 as follows:
(70 ILCS 1850/7.1 new)
Sec. 7.1. Rentals, charges, and fees. With respect to
any and all leases, easements, rights-of-way, privileges, and
permits made or granted by the Board, the Board may agree
upon and collect the rentals, charges, and fees that are
deemed to be in the best interest of the District. Those
rentals, charges, and fees must be used to defray the
reasonable expenses of the District and to pay the principal
and interest upon any revenue bonds issued by the District.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
