AN ACT concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Act is amended by changing Section 11.15 and by adding Section 308 as follows:

Sec. 11.15. No person shall be employed upon contracts for work to be done by any such sanitary district unless he or she is a citizen of the United States, a national of the United States under Section 1401 of Title 8 of the United States Code, an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence under Section 1101 of Title 8 of the United States Code, or an individual who has been granted asylum under Section 1158 of Title 8 of the United States Code, or an individual who is otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States.

Sec. 308. District enlarged. Upon the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 99th General Assembly, the corporate limits of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago are extended to include within those corporate limits the following described tracts of land and the tracts are hereby annexed to the District:

Parcel 1:

THAT PART OF THE SOUTH 1/2 OF THE SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE 9, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, LYING EAST OF THE EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF ELGIN, JOLIET AND EASTERN RAILROAD, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Parcel 2:

THE NORTH 1/2 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE 9, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, (EXCEPT THEREFROM STRIP OFF THE WEST END THEREOF CONVEYED TO JERMIAH H. BROWNING BY DEED RECORDED SEPTEMBER 15TH 1859, AS DOCUMENT 23078 IN BOOK 162, PAGE 619, SAID STRIP BEING THIRTY FOUR AND ONE HALF FEET WIDE AT NORTH END FORTY TWO FEET WIDE AT SOUTH END) IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
