Short description: 
VEH CD-SINGLE EARPHONE HEADSET                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code.  Provides that  the  Code  does      
   not prohibit the use of headset type receiving equipment consisting of      
   a single earphone while driving.                                            
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
          Deletes reference to:                                                
          625 ILCS 5/12-610                                                    
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          625 ILCS 5/12-603.1             from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 12-603.1       
          725 ILCS 5/108-1                from Ch. 38, par. 108-1              
        Deletes everything.  Amends the Illinois  Vehicle  Code  and  the      
   Code  of  Criminal  Procedure of 1963. Deletes language providing that      
   law enforcement officers may not stop or search any vehicle solely  on      
   the basis of the failure of the occupants to wear seat belts. Provides      
   that  a  law  enforcement  officer  may  not search or inspect a motor      
   vehicle, its contents, the driver, or a passenger solely  because  the      
   driver or a passenger is not wearing a seat safety belt.
