        Amends the State Employees  Group  Insurance  Act  of  1971,  the      
   Illinois  Insurance Code, the Health Maintenance Organization Act, and      
   the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act to provide that a policy  that      
   provides coverage for prescription drugs may not deny authorization of      
   the  filling  of multiple covered prescriptions on a single visit to a      
   pharmacy. Effective immediately.                                            
          FISCAL NOTE (Department of Insurance)                                
          House Bill 5908 will have no fiscal impact on the Department.        
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides that copayments, deductibles, and  coinsurance  are  not      
   affected by the filling of multiple prescriptions at a single visit.
