FORBY-HARTKE-GRANBERG-REITZ-FOWLER. (WOOLARD) 30 ILCS 105/5.545 new 625 ILCS 5/3-648 new Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act. Creates the Coal Technology Research Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides for the issuance of special Coal Mining license plates. Provides that, in addition to the normal original issuance and renewal fees, a $25 initial fee and a $17 renewal fee shall be charged for the special plates. Provides that $10 of the initial fee and $15 of the renewal fee shall be deposited in the Coal Technology Research Fund, and $15 of the original fee and $2 of the renewal fee shall be deposited in the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. Provides that, subject to appropriation by the General Assembly, all money in the Coal Technology Research Fund shall be used for coal technology research. Effective immediately.
