1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends
4 of Sue A. Rudy, who passed away on August 23, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Sue A. Rudy was born on January 16, 1933 in
6 Wisconsin; she was a resident of Blue Island and then Crete
7 for 34 years; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Rudy retired in 2002 as a Title I Reading
9 teacher for Crete-Monee School District 201U; she was a
10 member of Crete United Methodist Church and an active Bible
11 study group leader; and
12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Rudy was an active volunteer with State
13 Senator Debbie Halvorson's election campaign; she was a
14 member of the Illinois Education Association and served as
15 treasurer of the Retired Illinois Education Association; she
16 was an active volunteer for the Public Action to Deliver
17 Shelter homeless shelter; and
18 WHEREAS, The passing of Sue A. Rudy will be deeply felt
19 by all who knew and loved her, especially her daughter, Sarah
20 Rudy-Carnes; her sisters, Lois, Dawn, and Doreen; and her
21 brothers, Tom and Dale; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
24 all who knew her, the death of Sue A. Rudy of Crete; and be
25 it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Sue A. Rudy with our sincere
28 condolences.
