1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1838
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1838 by replacing
3 line 29 on page 7 through line 1 on page 8 with the
4 following:
5 "sergeant, lieutenant, or captain, or major, or as a Special
6 Agent, Special Agent Sergeant, Special Agent Master Sergeant,
7 Special Agent Lieutenant, Special Agent Captain or Special
8 Agent Major. The Director may use other additional
9 designations for State Police officers to reflect special
10 duties or training. Any individual having been promoted to
11 the rank of major prior to the effective date of this
12 amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly shall retain the
13 rank of major until retirement, separation from service, or
14 otherwise provided by a personnel action governed by the
15 Department of State Police Merit Board.".
