1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1376
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1376, by deleting
3 everything after the enacting clause and replacing it with
4 the following:
5 "ARTICLE 1
6 Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
7 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
8 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the
9 Illinois Medical District Commission:
10 Payable from General Revenue Fund:
11 For Personal Services......................... $ 347,700
12 For Employee Retirement Contributions
13 Paid by Employer ............................ 13,900
14 For State Contributions to the State
15 Employees' Retirement System ................ 34,900
16 For State Contributions to
17 Social Security.............................. 26,000
18 For Contractual Services ..................... 280,000
19 For Operation of Chicago Technology
20 Park Research Center and for
21 Development and Operation of the
22 Chicago Technology Park within the

1 Medical Center District ..................... 116,900
2 Total $819,400
3 Section 2. The sum of $162,800, or so much thereof as
4 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
5 Fund to the Illinois Medical District Commission for repairs,
6 maintenance, and site improvements within the Medical Center
7 District, City of Chicago.
8 Section 3. The sum of $200,000, or so much thereof as
9 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
10 Fund to the Illinois Medical District Commission for site
11 development and maintenance of the Illinois Medical District
12 Development Area.
13 Section 5. The sum of $2,167,130, or so much thereof as
14 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
15 business on June 30, 2001 from appropriations heretofore made
16 in Article 37, Sections 4 and 5 of Public Act 91-0706, is
17 reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the
18 Illinois Medical District Commission for acquisition of
19 property, demolition and site improvements, and related costs
20 within the Medical Center District, City of Chicago for Phase
21 III and IV of District Development Initiative.
22 Section 6. No contract shall be entered into or
23 obligation incurred for any expenditures from appropriations
24 in Sections 2, 3, 4 and 5 of this Article until the purposes
25 and amounts have been approved in writing by the Governor.
26 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
27 July 1, 2001.".
