1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 92
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 92, by deleting
3 everything after the enacting clause and replacing it with
4 the following:
5 Section 5. The Township Code is amended by changing
6 Section 45-15 as follows:
7 (60 ILCS 1/45-15)
8 Sec. 45-15. Township central committee. The township
9 central committee of the township, which is hereby created
10 for the purposes of this Code, shall consist of (i) in all
11 counties of 3,000,000 or less, the elected or appointed
12 precinct committeemen of each established political party
13 within the township or (ii) in counties of 3,000,000 or
14 more, the elected or appointed township committeemen of each
15 established political party. The committee, by a majority of
16 those voting, shall promulgate rules of procedure under
17 Section 45-50.
18 If the committee promulgates a rule requiring a prior
19 written notice of intent to be a caucus nominee, the rule is
20 not subject to approval or amendment by caucus participants
21 under Section 45-50 or otherwise. Such rule shall be filed
22 with the township clerk not less than 10 days prior to the

1 caucus and shall be available for public inspection. If
2 prior written notice of intent to be a caucus nominee is
3 required, such written notice shall be filed by a candidate
4 not less than 5 days prior to the caucus with the township
5 clerk and shall be available for public inspection.
