1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives
3 congratulates Assistant Chief Robert Quarello and the Delavan
4 Police Department of Delavan, Illinois, for their outstanding
5 performance in Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I.)
6 prevention programs, and their achievement of a Law
7 Enforcement Award given by Mothers Against Drunk Drivers
8 (MADD); and
9 WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Quarello has devoted himself and
10 the Delavan Police Department to ensuring quality D.U.I.
11 prevention programs that target everyone in the community;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, The programs honored by MADD include the "Last
14 Prom" and other D.U.I. crash reenactments, "Fatal Vision"
15 goggle programs, presentations for drivers' education
16 classes, DARE, Explorers, and various other community groups;
17 and
18 WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Robert Quarello and the Delavan
19 Police Department serve with fine moral and civic leadership
20 and exemplify the highest standards of duty; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we recognize Chief Quarello and the Delavan Police Department
24 of Delavan, Illinois, and congratulate them for their efforts
25 in working toward a better Illinois; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
27 presented to Assistant Chief Robert Quarello and the Delavan
28 Police Department.
