1 AN ACT concerning taxation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Cigarette Tax Act is amended by changing
5 Section 5 as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 130/5) (from Ch. 120, par. 453.5)
7 Sec. 5. The Department shall adopt the design or designs
8 of the tax stamps and shall procure the printing of those
9 such stamps in such amounts and denominations as it deems
10 necessary to provide for the affixation of the proper amount
11 of tax stamps to each original package of cigarettes.

13 Section 10. The Cigarette Use Tax Act is amended by
14 changing Section 16 as follows:
15 (35 ILCS 135/16) (from Ch. 120, par. 453.46)
16 Sec. 16. Every person who purchases cigarettes for
17 shipment into Illinois from a point outside this State, and
18 who is required to file a return with the Department with
19 respect to those such cigarettes, shall procure invoices in
20 duplicate covering each such shipment and shall furnish one
21 copy of each such invoice to the Department at the time of
22 filing the return required by this Act.
