1 AN ACT relating to education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Aid Continuing Appropriation Law is
5 amended by changing Section 15-20 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 235/15-20)
7 Sec. 15-20. Irrevocable and continuing appropriation.
8 If the General Assembly fails to make Common School Fund
9 appropriations to the State Board of Education in fiscal
10 years 1999 through 2001 sufficient to fund (i) the General
11 State Aid Formula set forth in subsection (E) (Computation of
12 General State Aid) and subsection (H) (Supplemental General
13 State Aid) of Section 18-8.05 of the School Code and (ii) the
14 supplementary payments for school districts set forth in
15 subsection (J) (Supplementary Grants in Aid) of Section
16 18-8.05 of the School Code, this Article shall constitute an
17 irrevocable and continuing appropriation from the Common
18 School Fund of all amounts necessary for those purposes.
