1 AN ACT in relation to business organizations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Agricultural Co-Operative Act is amended
5 by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (805 ILCS 315/1) (from Ch. 32, par. 440)
7 Sec. 1. Purpose. In order to promote, foster and
8 encourage the intelligent and orderly marketing of
9 agricultural products through co-operation; to eliminate
10 speculation and waste; to make the distribution of
11 agricultural products between producer and consumer as direct
12 as can be efficiently done; to stabilize the marketing of
13 agricultural products;, and to provide for the organization
14 and incorporation of agricultural co-operative associations
15 and societies, this Act is passed.
