Senate Sponsors: CRONIN. Short description: SCH CD-DAYS OF ATTENDANCE-AID Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the School Code. In the compilation of average daily attendance under the State aid formula, removes a provision that allows days of attendance to be less than 5 clock hours on the opening and closing of the school term and upon the first day of pupil attendance, if preceded by a day or days utilized as an institute or teachers' workshop. Provides that a State aid claim shall be reduced if a school district fails to provide the minimum school term because of an act of God or a hazardous threat to the health and safety of pupils. Removes a provision that allows a partial day of attendance to be counted as a full day of attendance because of adverse weather conditions. Effective August 1, 2000.
