Short description: 
RE APPRAISER-LICENSE REQ                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Real Estate Appraiser Licensing Act. Provides  that  a      
   violation  of the Section regarding licensure requirements and the use      
   of the title is  a  Class  A  misdemeanor.  Increases  the  number  of      
   classroom  hours required prior to examination for a rank of appraiser      
   licensure,  and  allows   for   recommendations   of   the   Appraisal      
   Qualifications  Board.  Provides  that the rank of State Licensed Real      
   Estate Appraiser shall be  held  no  longer  than  from  the  date  of      
   issuance  for  the  balance  of  the  initial  license  and  through 2      
   renewals. Changes the continuing education requirements for renewal of      
   an appraiser license. Provides that  civil  penalties  for  unlicensed      
   real estate appraisal practice and other disciplinary actions shall be      
   made  payable  to the Office of Banks and Real Estate for deposit into      
   the Appraisal Administration Fund.                                          
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides that an applicant for renewal of a license  may  satisfy      
   up  to  50%  of  the  continuing  education requirements by presenting      
   evidence of participation as an instructor of specified courses.
