Short description: SYRINGE DISPOSAL-RESTROOMS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Creates the Hypodermic Syringe and Needle Disposal Act and amends the State Mandates Act. Provides that every public restroom (that is, a restroom located in a building owned or occupied by the State, a unit of local government, or a school district) must have a container for the disposal of used hypodermic syringes and needles that is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency. Makes the implementation of this requirement exempt from reimbursement under the State Mandates Act.
