Senate Sponsors: DUDYCZ-SHAW. Short description: VEH CD-COMMERCIAL LICENSE TEST Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that an applicant for a commercial driver's license (CDL) who fails either the written or the road test after the third attempt in any 12 month period is barred from re-examination for a period of one month. Provides that a person who again fails either exam after the mandatory one month waiting period is barred from re-examination for 3 months. Provides that a person who fails either examination again after the mandatory 3 month waiting period is barred from re-examination for one year. Effective immediately.
