Senate Sponsors: KARPIEL. Short description: HLTH FACILITY-NON-CLINICL AREA Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act. Provides that no permit or exemption under the Act is required for the construction or modification of non-clinical service areas of a health care facility. Defines "non-clinical service area". Provides that one member of the Health Facilities Planning Board shall represent hospitals in Illinois (now, one member shall represent proprietary hospitals in Illinois). Redefines "capital expenditure minimum" as $9,000,000 for major medical equipment and for all other capital expenditures (now, "capital expenditure minimum" means $1,000,000 for major medical equipment and $2,000,000 for all other capital expenditures). Effective immediately.
