Short description: SALES TX-EXMPT DIGITL BROADCST Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Use Tax Act, the Service Use Tax Act, the Service Occupation Tax Act, and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Provides that beginning on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 91st General Assembly and through December 31, 2009, personal property used to facilitate conversion to digital broadcasting in compliance with Section 336 of the Communications Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 336) and the Federal Communications Commission Order issued on April 21, 1997 and found in part 73 of title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations (47 CFR 73) is exempt from taxation under these Acts.
