Senate Sponsors: WATSON. Short description: JUV CT-LAW ENFORCEMENT RECORDS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Provides that law enforcement records concerning a minor who has been arrested or taken into custody for an alcohol-related offense may be transmitted by a local law enforcement agency to school officials of the school in which the minor is enrolled under a reciprocal reporting system established and maintained between the school district and the local law enforcement agency. Present law limits disclosure to records of a minor arrested for an unlawful use of weapons offense, an Illinois Controlled Substances Act violation, a Cannabis Control Act violation, or a forcible felony.
