Senate Sponsors: RADOGNO. Short description: PUB AID CD-MANGD CARE EXMPTION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the "Medicaid" Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Department of Public Aid may not require any in- dividual under 19 years of age to enroll in any managed care program who is in foster care or otherwise in an out-of-home placement. Pro- vides that persons under age 18 who have been removed from their homes by a circuit court shall be Medicaid eligible if they satisfy certain Department criteria. Provides that financial eligiblity factors shall not apply to wards of the court nor affect a ward's Medicaid eligi- bility, although the Department may seek reimbursement for services rendered to the ward from the ward's parents. Effective immediately.
