Short description: 
SEX OFFENDER-REGISTER EMPLOYMT                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Sex Offender Registration Act. Requires a sex offender      
   in addition to registering with the  law  enforcement  agency  in  the      
   municipality or county in which the offender resides, to also register      
   with the law enforcement agency of the municipality or county in which      
   the  offender  is  employed.  Provides  that  if  the  sex offender is      
   employed in the same county in  which  he  or  she  resides,  the  sex      
   offender  needs  only  to register once but must provide both work and      
   residence addresses.  Amends  the  Sex  Offender  and  Child  Murderer      
   Community  Notification  Law.  Provides  that law enforcement agencies      
   must  inform  child  care  facilities  and  schools   of   identifying      
   information  concerning  sex  offenders employed in the municipalities      
   and counties where these facilities are located.                            
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
          Deletes reference to:                                                
          730 ILCS 150/2                                                       
          730 ILCS 152/105                                                     
          730 ILCS 152/126 new                                                 
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          730 ILCS 152/120                                                     
        Deletes the amendatory changes to the definition Section  of  the      
   Sex  Offender Registration Act and the Sex Offender and Child Murderer      
   Community Notification Law.  Provides that a sex  offender  within  10      
   days  after  employment  shall  submit  to  the law enforcement agency      
   having jurisdiction in person or in  writing  the  business  name  and      
   address  where he or she is employed.  Provides that the Department of      
   State Police and a law enforcement agency may  disclose  to  a  person      
   likely  to encounter a sex offender the offender's photograph or other      
   such information that will help identify the sex offender or  offender      
   employment information to protect public safety.
