Provides that headlamps, turn signal lamps, side cowl lamps, and fender lamps may emit a light that satisfies U. S. Department of Transportation regulations. Effective immediately. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 625 ILCS 5/12-205 625 ILCS 5/12-208 625 ILCS 5/12-209 Deletes everything. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to provide that a vehicle's headlights must satisfy the United States Dept. of Transportation requirements and may show white lights emitted by high intensity discharge lamps. Provides that only headlights that satisfy the United States Department of Transportation requirements and emit white light or light of a yellow or amber tint may be installed on a motor vehicle. Effective immediately.
