Short description: ELECTRIC SELF-GENERATION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Electric Service Customer Choice and Rate Relief Law of 1997 Article of the Public Utilities Act. Provides that a retail customer that obtains its power and energy from cogeneration or self-generation facilities and sells any excess electric power and energy only on the wholesale market is not an alternative retail electric supplier and does not have to pay transition charges with respect to that electric power and energy.
