Short description: DIRECT CARE WORKERS-WAGES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Resolves that: (1) providers of services for the developmentally disabled, mentally ill, infirm, and elderly shall increase wages of direct care workers by either (A) at least the same percentage as a funding increase awarded as a cost of doing business increase or (B) at least the same amount as a funding increase awarded as an average wage increase for these workers; (2) service providers shall certify their compliance to the Department of Public Aid or the Department of Human Services; and (3) the Auditor General shall review each Department's implementation of this certification process.
