House Sponsors: SKINNER. Short description: LOCAL GOVT-BAN PUBLIC NUDITY Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Counties Code and the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a county or municipality may enact an ordinance that prohibits a person from knowingly or intentionally, in a public place: (i) engaging in sexual intercourse; (ii) appearing in a state of nudity; or (iii) fondling the genitals of himself, herself, or another person. Violation is a Class A misdemeanor. The prohibition against appearing in a state of nudity does not apply to: (i) any child under 10 years of age or (ii) any individual exposing a breast in the process of breastfeeding an infant under 2 years of age. Effective immediately.
