Short description: 
INC TAX CREDIT-DRUG EXPENSES                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act.  Provides that,  for  taxable      
   years 2000 and thereafter, every individual taxpayer is entitled to an      
   income  tax  credit  for  the  amount spent on pharmaceutical expenses      
   during the taxable year.  Provides that, to  obtain  the  credit,  the      
   taxpayer  must  verify  his  or  her  pharmaceutical expenses with the      
   Department as determined by the Department by rule.  Provides that the      
   credit may be carried forward for 2 years.  Excepts  the  credit  from      
   the sunset requirements.  Effective immediately.
