House Sponsors: ERWIN-WIRSING. Short description: PROCUREMENT-VARIOUS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Exempts from the Code: (i) entertainment and college sport contracts; (ii) public university non-credit educational activity contracts; and (iii) public university purchased care contracts. Requires that only successful non-small purchase contract bidders or respondents, rather than potential bidders on all contracts, disclose financial interests and permits the re-use of those disclosures for subsequent contracts. Changes the deadline for publishing the award of a sole source contract from 2 weeks to 5 business days before the award. Permits contracts relating to debt financing to exceed 10 years. Permits the renewal of certain employee insurance contracts without use of competitive selection methods. Permits filing of contracts not funded by State appropriations with repositories identified by the Comptroller. Permits leases not funded by State appropriations of up to 25 years in length. Makes other changes. Effective immediately.
