House Sponsors: HARTKE. Short description: TAX-ASSESSNG OFFICR COMPENSATN Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Property Tax Code. In a Section concerning compensa- tion for Certified Illinois Assessing Officers, provides that upon the successful completion of an additional 180 class hours in courses the Department of Revenue designates and approves as acceptable for additional training, a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer shall receive from the State, out of funds appropriated to the Department, as total additional compensation under this Section of the Code, $750 per year; upon successfully completing 120 more hours, $1,000 per year; and upon successfully completing 120 more hours, $1,500 per year. Effective immediately.
