JUV CT-MINORS RIGHT-DELNQUNCY                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.   Provides  that  a  minor      
   under 15 years of age who is subject to the Act and who is arrested or      
   taken into custody for an act that would be a crime if committed by an      
   adult  may  not  be interrogated or questioned without the presence of      
   the minor's parent or legal guardian during the  questioning,  without      
   the  minor  being informed of his or her right to consult counsel, and      
   without, after the minor has consulted with counsel, securing a             
   knowing,  intelligent,  and  voluntary  waiver of the minor's right to      
   remain silent during the interrogation.  Provides that statements made      
   by the minor in violation of these provisions are inadmissible.
