Short description: 
PUB AID-CASH ASSISTANCE REVIEW                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to require the Department  of      
   Human  Services  to  study, every 2 years, the impact of public aid on      
   the well-being of assisted families and to publish the results of each      
   study.  Requires the study to include maximum levels of aid  available      
   to  families  at  the time of the study, the impact of aid provided in      
   helping assisted families receive training and enter the  work  force,      
   and  the  incidence  among  assisted  families  of  various  badges of      
   poverty. Describes other criteria by which  the  Department  of  Human      
   Services should prepare these studies. Effective immediately.
