Senate Sponsors: DUDYCZ-DELEO-GEO-KARIS Short description: ORGAN DONOR-LICENSE PLATES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act. Creates the Vietnam Conflict Memorial Fund. Provides for issuance of Vietnam Veteran license plates, at an additional initial charge of $15 and an additional renewal charge of $2 with eligibility requirements to be determined by the Secretary of State. Provides that $13 of the additional initial charge and the $2 renewal charge shall go to the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. Provides that $2 of the initial charge shall go to the Vietnam Conflict Memorial Fund. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 30 ILCS 105/5.541 new Deletes language relating to the Vietnam Conflict Memorial Fund. Provides that the entire $15 additional original issuance fee shall be deposited in the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 625 ILCS 5/3-646 new 30 ILCS 105/5.541 new Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act. Cre- ates the Organ Donor Awareness Fund. Provides for issuance of Organ Donor Awareness license plates, incorporating a refernce to the Chi- cago Bears organization and Walter Payton. Provides for an additional original issuance fee and an additional renewal fee, both in the amount of $25. Provides that $10 of the original issuance fee and $23 of the renewal fee shall be deposited in the Organ Donor Awareness Fund. Provides that $15 of the original issuance fee and $2 of the renewal fee shall be deposited in the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2.
