Senate Sponsors: CLAYBORNE Short description: CDFC-DIRECTORS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Community Development Finance Corporation Act. Dissolves the Community Development Finance Corporation (CDFC). Requires that moneys in the CDFC Fund be returned to the persons who donated those moneys. Requires that the CDFC's records and other property be transferred to the State Treasurer, and requires the Treasurer to implement these provisions. Repeals the Act 30 days after the CDFC Fund moneys are returned to the donors. Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 315 ILCS 15/8 new Adds reference to: 315 ILCS 15/2 from Ch. 67 1/2, par. 712 Deletes everything. Amends the Illinois Community Development Finance Corporation Act. Removes the State Treasurer as a director and as the chairman of the Illinois Community Development Finance Corporation (CDFC). Provides that the Director of Commerce and Community Affairs (who is also a director) shall serve as chairman of the CDFC. Provides that the Governor shall appoint the remaining 8 (rather than 7) directors. Effective immediately.
