CIV PRO-SUNSHINE IN LITIGATION

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Code of Civil Procedure to prohibit court orders and
judgments from concealing public hazards. Effective July 1, 2000, and
applies to causes of action accruing on or after that date.
FISCAL NOTE (Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts)
There may be an increase in judicial workloads. However, it
is not anticipated that the bill would have a substantial
impact on the financial resources of the judicial branch.
JUDICIAL NOTE (Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts)
There may be a minimal increase in judicial workloads. However,
the bill would not increase the number of judges needed in the
          State.
STATE MANDATES NOTE (Dept. of Commerce and Community Affairs)
HB 3239 does not meet the definition of a State mandate under
          the State Mandates Act.
