Short description: 
VEH CD-RESTRICTED DRIVING                                                  

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code.  Makes technical changes in the      
   law regarding petitions for the issuance of restricted driving permits      
   for specified purposes.  Provides that a  permit  may  be  issued  for      
   transportation  of  the  petitioner  to  and from drug or alcohol (now      
   alcohol) remedial or rehabilitative activity.  Provides that  multiple      
   offenders  whose driving privileges have been suspended after a fourth      
   or subsequent conviction for DUI, leaving the  scene  of  an  accident      
   involving  death  or  personal  injuries,  involuntary manslaughter or      
   reckless homicide, or a  combination  of  those  offenses  or  similar      
   out-of-state  offenses  or  similar provisions of local ordinances are      
   not eligible for issuance of a restricted driving  permit.   Effective      
   immediately.
